Top Ten Mother’s Day Gifts For 2020

Every year the time gets round to May and the world feels a little more beautiful.  The flowers bloom, the grass is green, and all seems right with the world.  Young lovers hide away in corners sneaking kisses from one another.  And amazing sounds of children filled with joy fill the playgrounds.  Unfortunately, playgrounds will not be filled this year.  And spring blooms will not be enjoyed in quite the same way we did before.  COVID-19 has taken a little bite out of all of our beautiful dreams.  And yet we still want to remember the beautiful things in life.  One of which is our parents.  And so we shall with Mother’s Day 2020 just around the corner.

Our parents have done so much for us over the years.  Giving us shelter, food, home, a place to belong, and so much more.  They uplift us when we are down, and care for us when we are ill.  So many things they do for us for which we can never repay.  I know without a doubt my parents have done so many things for me, and my mother has been there for me in so many significant and profound ways.  I could never do enough to repay her for her kindness, generosity of spirit, and love.  But I will endeavor to right now.  Welcome to our 2020 Mother’s Day gift list.

Top Ten Mother’s Day Gifts For 2020

It’s been an awfully strange year.  And that is putting it mildly.  Things seem nutty, with no ending in sight.  And yet, we still want to appreciate those mothers in our lives who have done so much for us.  I suppose one could go with the simple flower gift.  But I feel like something more and quite different needs to be done.  So with that in mind, here is our gift list for Mother’s Day.

#10 Scented Homesick Candles

When it comes to things right now, we are all missing out on various different aspects of our lives.  Whether it’s missing out on the work we love doing.  Missing out on seeing the loved ones who we are concerned about their health and wellbeing.  Or whether it’s just missing going places and seeing things in general.  We all miss out on things.  Well, get scented Homesick candles to remind you of the people we are loving and missing at this time.  I’m sure your mom will be missing you and this gift will remind her of you while you are away protecting her.

#9 Ember’s Temperature-Controlled Mugs

Ever have someone who loves coffee so much that they can’t live without their morning cup?  Ever hate having you morning coffee go cold but hate the metallic insulated mugs even more so you’d rather have your coffee go cold rather than drinking from a metallic container?  So have we.  So why not pick up one of those Ember temperature-controlled mugs for your mother this mother’s day.  If she’s a coffee lover she will be sure to love this mug which will keep your coffee warm for an hour on a charge.  And warm all day if you leave it on it’s charging base.  It’s a gift for the coffee-loving mom in your family you will wonder why you didn’t purchase sooner.

#8 Roku Streaming Stick

If we haven’t learned already the value of a good streaming stick and streaming service right now, I don’t believe we will ever learn.  Given we know how important it is, if you have parents who struggle with using technology like I do, the Roku streaming service is as simple as anything else out there.  Just plug the stick into the TV set and get ready to introduced to a world of streaming opportunities out there.  From major streaming service providers to more indie fare, your mother will love you for all the various shows she can have access to, all at the touch of a button.

#7 Birth Month Flower Grow Kit

While I know, this isn’t exactly a birthday present, it’s something your mother will absolutely love.  I know we love getting presents representing birth month stones.  My daughter and mother always love presents with their birthstone in them, commemorating celebrations, birthdays, and the like.  Why not celebrate with some birth month flowers as well?  They will give you the growth kit to help you grow the flowers and then the bottle that it comes in can serve duel use as a vase once finished.  Give the gift of life to your mother for this mother’s day.  She will appreciate it.

Is there anything you want to learn about that you have never taken the chance to do before?  Are you interested in preparing that amazing cheese soufflé?  Have you wanted to take a class in stand up comedy from some of the masters in the field like Steve Martin?  Have you wanted to learn the art of filmmaking from someone as amazing as Martin Scorsese?    Learn any or all of these skills in MasterClass.  And given that we all have plenty of time to work things out and be on the computer throughout it all of the craziness, it’s the perfect time to get an online course.  And right now you get two Annual Memberships for the price of one.  What could be better than that?

#3 KitchenAid Artisan Series 10 Speed 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

When it comes to things to do during the time of crazy, one of the most amazing and fun things to do is to bake bread.  You get to sit back, relax as a family, and let the bread rise.  One of the most important things to have when you are going to bake bread is a good mixer.  And no one else does a good mixer like KitchenAid.  You can get it in so many different colors and styles.  Good for any color coordination you might want.  And it includes the dough hook and other accessories.  If your mother loves to bake and get her hands dirty (figuratively speaking) in the kitchen, this is an amazing gift.

#2 Essential Oil Diffuser Bracelet

One of my dearest friends, who is a mother who loves her essential oils, would absolutely love this gift.   It’s the perfect blending of both beauty and function as you just get to drop a few droplets of the essential oils and you get hours of peace and tranquility amidst the craziness of this life.  And what mother wouldn’t want that right now.    With various styles and oils to choose from, you cannot go wrong with this beautiful gift.

#1 Stedi-Pedi Home Pedicure Kit

When it comes to gifts for Mother’s Day, giving them the gift of beauty and relaxation is always high on the list.  Unfortunately, the ability to get a spa day for my mom in the near future may be non-existent.  So if you want to get your mother something to help her relax and enjoy a day, get her this Stedi-Pedi home pedicure kit.  Allowing your mother or the mother of your children to keep herself relaxed in a comfortable position while doing the nails, this kit is the perfect thing.  It includes LED lighting and a storage for all her nail tools.  It’s the perfect beauty gift in this time of craziness.

Wrapping Up Top Ten Mother’s Day Gifts for 2020

It really is truly the strangest year in memory.  And I honestly am hoping this is the only year I will experience like this in a lifetime.  Although, I suppose as the world changes and we find ourselves more interconnected, things like this are more likely to happen.  For our sake, I just hope that we get ourselves more prepared in the future.

Being knee-deep in the coronavirus craziness finding gifts has definitely become more challenging.  Things have changed drastically.  Many of the things I might get I cannot.  It’s harder to know what things look like without seeing them up close.  As much as I appreciate the pictures, it has always been easier finding things my mom might like when I can see the gifts and touch them.  But that doesn’t work anymore.  And it might not ever be the same again.  Instead of going out and finding unique gifts at some interesting shops, I had to peruse the internet and find fun little things that my mom or my daughter’s mom might be interested in for a Mother’s Day Gift.

I hope this list has been a little helpful.  And if nothing specifically here works for you, I hope it sparks the imagination to finding something you might like for the mother in your life.  And regardless of what happens, I wish you and yours an amazing mother’s day with your family.  As a divorced dad who loves his daughter, I know how much family means.  And I know at least a little bit about the importance of mothers in a child’s life.  May all you mother’s out there be blessed on this amazing day.
