If you are struggling to enjoy spending time in your garden, perhaps you need to make some changes to it. There are a few things that you can do to improve your garden including tidying up or adding more plants but have you ever considered building a garden room?
A garden room is a great way to enjoy your garden more. A garden is a great place to spend time as a family, to relax on your own or even socialise with friends, hosting a few drinks or a dinner party. Should the weather worsen, you can all head into the garden room rather than having to head back down the garden to the house. You can even keep it cool so you can enjoy it more on those really hot days – sometimes you just need to get a break from the sun! If you aren’t sure what to do with some space in your garden, perhaps a garden room might be a consideration.
There are many reasons why a person or a family may choose to have a garden room built on their grounds. Here are a few suggestions of ways you can use a garden room so that you can enjoy your garden more.
A Home Gym
A financially more viable and much more convenient option than heading to your local gym instead. You can pick up equipment for fairly affordable prices or even free on reuse or donation sites! Getting fit couldn’t be in a nicer location as you get to look out onto your garden too.
A Family Room
If you have children, a garden room is a great extra space for your family to enjoy. It can be used as a playroom, a cinema room or even a gaming room. It is a great place for the family to spend time together without any distractions and whilst utilising the extra space they have.
A Home Office
Whilst it isn’t the most glamourous of uses, a home office in a garden room is a brilliant option. It means you can shut the door on work for the day when you head back into your house and it also means you can be extremely productive. Who wouldn’t want to work looking out onto their beautiful garden?
Extra Bedroom
If you are struggling for space in your house with an ever growing family, you might consider utilising the space as an extra living area for one of your older children. It gives them space and privacy and utilises space you already have without being on top of one another. It is important to consider if this is a possibility though before going ahead with it. It sure would be nice to wake up in the morning, looking out on the garden!
Aside from moving in existing furniture and decorations into a garden bedroom area, new fittings such as lighting and carpets shouldn’t be too much of an expense. If you want to make the most of a smaller floor space and keep the room cosy in the evenings, online stores like Carpet Warehouse offer affordable luxury carpets.
These are just a few of the ways that you can enjoy your garden more with a garden room and utilise previously unused space. Do you have a garden room or is this something you have previously considered?
