Dubai is famous for being super glamorous, but did you know that it is also incredibly family friendly? From the theme parks and Dubai’s amazing aquarium and underwater zoo to Kite beach and its beautiful, sandy, child friendly beach (complete with play areas and trampolines), there is plenty to keep you occupied.
One aspect of travelling abroad with children that can cause some worry or concern is whether there will be anywhere suitable for the children to eat. We all know how fussy children can be when it comes to mealtime. Despite our best efforts it’s not always easy to convince our children to eat new and different foods. But you don’t need to panic, as Dubai is full of places that cater for all ages and tastes. Whether you are looking for something completely family focused or a more ‘adult’ restaurant that also caters for the kiddies too, there really is an impressive choice in this amazing city. We have put together a list of four fantastic places to eat out in Dubai for families:
- Nosh Restaurant
With a smart-casual dress code and a menu featuring flavours from all across the world this is a restaurant you will not want to miss. The children are greeted with colouring mats and will enjoy being in the enclosed children’s corner. With television programmes, toys and games to entertain the younger guests you may well find yourself coming back time and time again. Oh, and of course the food is just as delectable as you would expect.
2. Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen
If it’s British cuisine you crave then check out Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen, as featured in the list of top British restaurants in Dubai rated by Squaremeal. You’ll find the food and service is spot on at this well-known restaurant. With incredibly knowledgeable waiting staff you will find it easy to satisfy even the fussiest little eater. Perhaps book in for ‘Ramsay’s Roast’ which is a quintessential British Roast with all the trimmings, available between 12.00 – 15.00 on a Saturday.
- Trattoria by Cinque
The Little Italian Brunch at Trattoria by Cinque is a must if you’re travelling with children in Dubai. There are numerous activities for the children to get involved in including appearances from children’s entertainers dressed as popular children’s characters. Given that most children seem to give pasta and pizza a big thumbs up this is going to tick so many boxes including your tastebuds’.
- Rainforest Café
We are big fans of the Rainforest Cafe in London and were delighted to find out there is one in Dubai too! The Rainforest Café is specifically designed to transport you deep into a tropical rainforest! Serving a fantastic menu for the children including pasta, pizza and macaroni and cheese, complete with a drink and a dessert for only DHS 45 this is going to be a firm favourite. Featuring life-like figures of rainforest animals, volcanic eruptions and information about conservation efforts this is a fun restaurant that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
